My telegram, and despatch quoted between this Government and the local Military Authorities, that land, building upon which is likely to interfere with defence Works either existing or prospective, or land comprising positions selected for occupation in case of attack will not be leased without reference to the Military Authorities, who may require the insertion in the leases of such restrictive
